Former Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Bernard Don Bortey says he is targeting a call up into the Black Stars soon.
The ace player has rediscovered his form after his move to Aduana Stars in the 2010-2011 seasons.
Don Bortey at a point was considered as one of the brightest talents in the country after helping Ghana to win a bronze medal during the FIFA Under - 17 World Cup in New Zealand in 1999, but he has been unable to reach his full potential.
His hopes of playing top level fooball have been dashed after fruitless countless trials with European based clubs.
After scoring two goals against Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the GLO premier league on Sunday November 7, the 28 year-old told Citi Sports he has not given up on a Black Stars call up.
“My target is to play for Black Stars. With God all things are possible so I am praying to God to help me out. I pray that I don’t get injuries so that everything will go on for me” he said.
