The skipper of the Black Queens of Ghana Florence Okoe said they are determined to advance to the next stage of the 7th African Women's Championship in South Africa.
"We have been used to leaving the competition early, but this time around we have a new team which is capable of beating any team in this CAN," Okoe was quoted as saying on the Ghana FA website.
"With our determination at this moment, I am convinced that the trophy is at our doorstep.”
The Ghanaians came from a goal down to beat Algeria 2-1 in their opening game. Their next game is against Cameroon later today, Friday November 5.
