Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to appoint former Serbian Assistant national team coach Bogdan Korak

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to appoint former Serbian Assistant national team coach Bogdan Korak as its new coach.

The porcupine warriors are expected to finalize contractual terms with the Serbian upon his arrival in the country later today.

This comes after the resignation of Coach Ebo Mends following the club disappointing one nil lost to their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

Interim head coach Opoku Nti will be in charge of Kotoko’s game with Aduana Stars on Sunday.

According to the Public Affairs manager of Kotoko, Jarvis Peprah, Bogdan Korak would watch the game from the stands.
“He can’t be on the bench for Kotoko but he can be closer to the bench to advice and to watch the team, he said.
“We are expecting his arrival tonight.

“He is coming over for discussions and if the two parties agree, then he can be our next coach

“We are hoping that he will get the chance to travel with us to Aduana for him to have a feel of the team

“It is only when we agree on terms and he agrees to take the club that is when we can then confirm that he has taken over the club.

“For now he is coming for exploratory talks.”
